2 nd Annual Icebreaker BBQ by the Suwannee

It's almost time (2-1/2 months ! ) for the Icebreaker BBQ by the Suwannee. So far the weekend of March 14 - 16 th looks good as we will be back to daylight savings time and with River Ranch at the end of April this give a month in between to recoup .

BBQ will be at my place Friday and Saturday nights boat riding by day . Motel info will be the same as last time . Let me know if this date works for everyone . We sure had a blast at the November BBQ !
The river this time of the year is very uncrowded , no jumping Sturgeon and it's cool enough to love a giant fire every night . Nothing like unlimited river to run ! There are several reasonable motels in the area and we have plenty of room for motorhomes and tents if anyone wants to camp out .

Grilling , partying and bonfires Friday and Saturday nights with boating in between .
Local hotels are as follows with the Days Inn in Chiefland with lots of boat parking and right next to BBQ Bills for breakfast . Best Western also in Chiefland just south of Holiday Inn . Then the Cadillac an old school mom and pop place with good parking just south of the bridge . Then the Park Inn right across from the Cadillac , another smaller mom and pop motel , then the Suwanee Gables just over the bridge across the river on the right on the water with a boat ramp .

Tom, you all have fun. I want to make it down your way one of these days. This year maaaayyyybe late in the year but not sure. Working on finishing a basement and (forced) to find a new job soon. Might not be this year.... You ever going to make it up norff for the IL River Run?
