    Reaction Revival

Starting my new project. I drug home a reaction 19. The floor and transom look solid the hull is butt ugly. First stop- Frostman. Andy built this boat in 1983. It was the fourth out of the mold. We flipped the boat and Andy started the tedious project by increasing the pad to 8". The new pad will run all the way to the front. The chines will get straightened also removing all hook out of the bottom. The ugly paint will also get removed from the exterior and all holes, screws etc will be removed. Planning to power the boat with a modern green motor. Thinkin 250HO. Should still get great fuel mileage and run strong!! This is my second reaction so I have some ideas on what to do different.

I am excited to get this one going. I am going to put a 10" setback bobs or atlas hydraulic jack plate. Will move the console and lean post back.

lift the boat and dry it out. Plus the botom has a hook in it which scrubs off speed. It was in there to keep the bow down and reduce porpoising. This pad will get the boat up on top of the water.

Never had an issue with mines airing out, all i did was straighten the bottom some. Always thought the wider the pad the flatter the attitude of the boat tended to be. Mines would run on the drain plug.
