That's not so much a rough water boat....just like my SRV or the Triad V21...they work well in lake chop but I don't think it would handle the bigger stuff like a 21 SOB.

Venom......Yes Very fast, wide flat pad and low deadrise at around 600lbs. = Lake boat.

Single Outboard vee 21'-24' (SOB) rough water boats have usually thinner pad, steeper deadrise (21,22,23,or 24degree), weighs more (950-1300) from stronger lay up but getting lighter with new technology construction. That's what all this "huff and Puff" is about...

My opinion is Progression 22 and Intimidator 21 - both of which ran over 102 and 103 respectively.

I don't think any boat in this day and age should have a carpeted floor.
snap in carpet over a inner liner is much better in my humble opinion

My biggest gripe on the progression.
I am sure the liner adds some weight to the other boats....
Probably adds strength too. Gel sprayed in a mold will be more stain
resistant as well (than rolled after thought)
Capet also hides a lot of booboos

Is Intimidator still building new hulls? Thought they stopped long ago.

I heard somewhere the intimidator molds were in predator marines yard FWIW

Measured my challenger a while back 20'-5"

Someone really needs to step up and buy a tuff or at least let superbender borrow one to do some long term testing,

I assume that 6'5" is chine to chine at the transom, correct? Beam is the widest part of the boat which is normally rub rail to rub rail a little forward of the drivers bucket. I bet it is greater then 7'
