I stand corrected. I have been misinformed regarding the length of the GS. What is it the kids say these days "My bad".

I think you'll be adding the "new" Checkmate Pulsare 2100 to your list after seeing how the new boats are being built by Pete Caldwell at the North Carolina plant..

David is right, a GS is tiny compared to a Linder 21, beam, weight and draft. The Pulsare 21 is a definitely closer to a SOB but with a slightly shallow deadrise. Should still be in the conversation.

I really like the Nitra 22' very cool boat. Also, the Chaudron 22 is an amazing looking boat.

What's a Chaud, Ron? Isn't that the furry patch between your balls and a$$ hole?

I'm going to toss the 22 Progression back out there since that's my favorite.

It was not really intended as a speed boat. It was purpose built for an offshore racing class with lower HP motors. In that respect it does the job very well. As with any V-bottom at speed, it will keep you focused.

I interviewed Marcus who started Nitra a couple years ago. He talks about the design quite a bit. Designed for racing, the hull is unique in configuration. It's quite fast, great in rough water.

It's not a flat pad, but a wide V-pad and a step at the CG in the V.

Spoke to the owner Marcus...great guy. Similar design to Will Smith's Phantom. Good rough water and smooth. Austin in Florida is the guy who has the 22 on their Facebook page. He says he is impressed with the boat and it's better than he thought it was going to be. The price is good as well. I priced a 29 that I was thinking of putting my twin 300R s on.
