The big number
Well, my boat has a DBR 300X on a 21’ Cougar MTR ... Mike Seebolds old boat. We ran 122.44 today at the Oroville Afterbay.

Unfortunately, this is exclusive to V bottom hulls. That has to be the fastest MTR though.

Would b really interesting putting a 300xs a 300r n a 400r on the same boat and comepare numbers. Does the 300r justify the 5-6k jump from 300xs than the similar jump to 400r put singles on a big 23-24 ob n twins and on a new 30+ Cat made for the new power and see what the best deal. It would have to be privately done. Merc would never stick its neck out there fearing the possibility’s even if it’s in correct order speed wise xs 300r 400 r in that order just wanna know the diff the tuff 24 would b a good platform or a24 progression or even a 24 super as I fear the 400 r will b too unbalanced on a 21 pad vee. Thoughts???

Just when I thought a steering system couldn't get any more interesting, somebody straps a compound bow to the back of one. Wow, that's art work!

The boys from down under have been innovating and creating unique stuff for a loooooong time. If I recall, they strapped (3) 300 Drags to the back of a 21 SOB and went walkabout for a couple of years.

Not a new hull. It was being run with a 300XS previously. One other note, the boats I have found over there are running the Torque Master gearcases.
