Yeah since my snowbird location is only about 2 miles from his shop I try to stay on top of the situation. Now if he would just stop screwing with these dragsters and stick to the task at hand

Bump it up for frozen Florida, ice choked Islip, and can't run fast in CT

Maybe we have to re-name this thread to something more like: "Fastest SOB - without down riggers."

I'd either break or sink a bass boat in our water even on a good day. Doesn't count!

Yeah of course I appreciate that, but the point is that any of the boats on the list at the moment are proven boats in rough ocean water. A bass boat would fall apart or be swamped pretty quickly! A Superboat or Challenger with massive setback that runs 90+ would probably run like crap in rough water, but the set up could be changed to cope. Bassboats are made for going fast on flat water and for fishing off, not for waves!

A Bass boat while cool for other reasons would not be able to manage any type of reasonably high speeds in rougher waters where all of the hulls being discussed here spend 75% of there time. Start a bass boat thread and that Stroker flatbottom will be hard to top on a river run or lake. I'm not sure if Kurt is from Florida or not but that motor is very unique. I looked at one out of Florida a few years ago I believe for my kid brother.

Yep.......updating "The List" with current GPS data on the Sutphen 21 SSX. I'm now wondering if my 88mph assumption with a 300XS and Sporty is possible when the Sutphen 21 is
laying down 73.4mph with the Merc 225hp fishin motor in the real world. Can this Sutphen hull pick up 15 mph with the 3.2 stroker motor or will the left coast Nordic SR-21 move up to #4.
