[QUOTE=David;2419844]A Tuff is a much better rough water boat than an SS2000. I drove a Tuff briefly and ran over some cruiser wakes. It handled them way better than my SS.
Why would the Progression be better in the rough than a Tuff? I can see the Bernico being worse - it has a wider pad from what I can see on their web site.
Bernico was built for big water...The one I have that won the would Champinship 2003 has a v pad and 13+" You all are missing the point do you want a fast boat in big water or a fast boat in sorta big water everything changes.

What happened to 302Sport? This discussion is really tailor made for 21's and 22's, forget the 24's. I'd like to see a Scream and Fly Challenge. All the old school guys could "run what they brung" against the 5 brand new boats that use the latest materials and lay-up techniques along with ballast tanks and more modern bottom designs. Start could be Port Washington, then down under the Throgs Neck and into the East River. Run down to the Statue of Liberty then turn North and run up the Hudson River through all that ferry slop. Turn into the Harlem River at Columbia and enjoy some flat water south. Then back to Port Washington. That would throw all kind of water conditions at the hulls and drivers and still be completed on one tank of gas. Then refuel with 93 and take a cruise.

neither one would let up until something broke....
You all should come out ski racing that is what we do every weekend. Race 2 time a day for up to hour + 1 lap and see how long you can keep your foot into it.

My money would be on the Bernico F2 Extreme .............lightest, with ballast tank if/when needed, and narrow beam. 100mph with stock power.
Tuff 21 hull weight = 950lbs – 20’8” Long, 7’7” Beam
Progression 22 hull weight =<s>1225</s> lbs …..948lbs – 22’1” Long, 7’8” Beam
Bernico F2 21 hull weight = 705lbs– 21’3” Long, 6’3” Beam
Nordic Crossfire 21 hull weight= N/A– 21’ Long, 7’1” Beam
Sutphen 21 SS hull weight = N/A –20’9” Long, 7’2” Beam
