If money is NO object I would include a Bernico F2 for sure but good luck finding one.

Rough water jumper. Getting back to one of the original rules of this thread, notice how flat out nasty the water is. There were honest 2'-4' waves on Seneca Lake. Oh, and my boat was 25 years old when this picture was taken. How many "faster" boats that folks keep saying should be added to this list could take this kind of water and still be alive? And notice how terrified my son and I look. Yup, just another day in the Progression 22!

Every performance pad V hull has some inspiration from Allison; notch, convex pad etc. Nevermind the monocoque construction. They don't make sport boats anymore but to suggest the Allison bottoms aren't fast or didn't inspire designs we see now is not accurate. The 21 bass boat is close to 110 MPH with a 300R. The ultra light Tuff 24 build is about the same right? Which is amazing, I love it. And yes, aerodynamics are critical at those speeds. The 116 MPH XB 2002 had a lip. Lots of SS and XR running 115+ with a lip.

Side note, Tuff 24 at 110 out of the box in hot humid weather and no dial in time in an almost 25’ deep vee offshore boat that I would venture weighs more than a 21 Allison going 8mph faster is a quantum leap.

    Light 24 with a 300xs at 118 (800 lb ish bare shell)
The Blake light layup Tuff 25 weighed in at 800 lbs? I think that is less than the kevlar King Tuff 21's weight. Offshore boat??

Also of note is how many photos there are of Progression 22's and the 237 running in nasty water. Impressive 30+ year run and still building 'em new today.

The boats are set up to run consistently and properly in real waters which kevin has tested over and over again to feel there going to perform good...If you boat in a puddle in the middle of no where with no boat wakes thats always flat yeah maybe a couple mph can be had but the boats gonna want to peel off the water the second a ripple comes along....

as for a Tuff 21 In my opinion that boat aint **** compared to a 22 Progression...There build process and fit and finish is stellar and the boat is beautiful BUT the bottom design IS NOT the same as a 21 linder bottom or a 22 progression, activator ETC and doesnt work as well unless your boating in a PUDDLE with no changing water conditions...the one that was here on long island was owned and rigged/setup by the fastest guys around and never did anything impressive because it simply couldnt handle the waters the way the 21-22 standard pad bottomed boats can.

RBT, do you run on the Great Lakes? I'm probably incorrect here but assumed there were no Tuff 21's currently running on the Great Lakes.

OK, so it's not an outboard. It is, however, a small single engine rough water capable boat. Taken on the same day, a few seconds later that Too Stroked's photo above. Fun day.

Rotorhead is still probably running on Lake Simcoe. Not a Great Lake, but you can’t see across it and at least one offshore group outing was pulled due to big waves

In case you folks are wondering, that's the Progression 24LD that the former owner of my Progression 22 purchased when he sold the 22 to me.

It is a cool boat for sure, the 5.25' beam though? definitely helps with the wetted surface but that cramped cockpit would be tough to live with.
