Good point on the price. $25k for a demo 22 seems very reasonable. I suspect that it might be another 8-9 to ship it over though. The keel really is not a full step but a keel notch. DCB used that on there early 22 Extremes and then Ultra on there 23XS.

Nitra has a ton of rough water film. Kudos to Marcus for tooling up and keeping rough water SOB's alive and crankin!

Actually I am in NY and Marcus said 2500-3k tops to ship to NY. I was going to rig myself and buy a bare hull. A 40' container will fit a 22 and their 29 so could be quite reasonable..

Wow, far less than I would have thought. Good information, thanks. I am curious how the Florida Nitra 22 does for speed as it gets dialed in. You can count on one hand how many 26 degree hipo hulls have ever been built if that is the angle at the transom. Wave crusher.

What are they changing in the revised build?

I spoke with Austin in Florida but I can't remember the speed he was getting but it was fast. He was running in some pretty good chop with a buddy in a 30' cat and was right there with him...Beam to length ratio like a Superboat is efficient, fast, and good in the rough. I had a 30 y2k so I can attest to the attributes of the narrow beam.

Pete Caldwell has moved the Checkmate factory to North Carolina. They are using more composite materials and tabbing the top deck and hulls together making for a better build quality all around. Billy Moore, the son of famed boat rigger Bobby Moore, has joined Pete Caldwell and will be bringing his rigging expertise to the Checkmate brand. They have formed the Caldwell Moore Performance Center in Washington NC.

I'll be importing some Chaudron's; the 22, 25 and 27. They will be rigged and setup in Miami. PM me your email for more information.

    Winter is coming.......

There's buzz developing that marauders from Malta will have a 22' Chaudron SOB running in American waters this Winter. Thought to be a fast wave crusher.

Wow those Chaudrons are cool, hopefully I get to see one! I usually end up on the gulf side in the winter though.

The Tuff 24 that went 116 just went 118 with a 15" mid! Wild stuff.

Swedish invader SOB spotted in Florida waters and for sale to boot. The narrow beam 22' Nitra is evidently running in the 90's with 300 R power.

    ...........
Sweden, Australia, Belgium and Canada all have hulls roaming in American waters now.

There is also a rumor that a Progression 22 is being fitted with a 250R V8 as Winter approaches.

I think if it is a SOB V no matter the length it should be counted! If you can haul ass with a 40ft SOB it should be there lol!!! That 25 is awesome!
