Agreed and yes, I did hear that in the audio. But my Progression 22 is a family boat too and it runs a couple of ticks under 90 MPH with only 250 HP.

But 20 inches of it is a step platform not running hull.

    The Velocity has a cabin.

Hmmm. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to track down the owner of the 450 P22 and get a top speed.

    88mph with a 250R and 94mph with a 300XS for Progression's 22. 450R ?

At these higher speeds does 10hp still get you about 1mph or is it all in the set up. Time will tell.

gotta add the extra weight in to consideration as well

my thought is, was the 22 ever built to run well over a 100? Especially with that much weight hanging off the back

It is hard to find calm water there and he is working on some steering issues helm input is to sensitive (imagine that) . He does have the props to play with some big numbers 32 to 38 pitch 5 Blades .

Prop is a 30 pitch Bravo - gear ratio is 1.75 - limiters are set at 6400 - speed calculates to 103.4

I know a guy with a 20' Lake and Bay with the 250 SHO nizpro S/C It does 101. So 475 hp? IDK about that. Did mid 80's with the same 250 Stock. Same hull with 300 XS would run high 90's. He was expecting more.

In the meantime, a contender for a spot on "The List" in 2021 is the Chaudron Pro S22 deep V.

They are starting to show up in the US and the 24 degree V’s are proven in rough water unlike some other hulls mentioned which are more lake boats.
Max speed for the S22 with a 300XS with DBR 1.3 trying different props yielded 95mph. They've not yet mounted a 300R. A normal build with a 250XS weighed about 2200 lbs fully rigged. Maybe Chaudron USA will work with Nizpro to create a test boat. There are a lot of Yamaha’s in Florida according to S&F guys down in that area, but not sure anyone has seen a flashed Nizpro SHO. Evidently the ECU from them brings the V6 to 332hp.

Not sure if the factory warranty from Yamaha still stands but a "squat" 505lb V6 with 332hp and factory lwp might make a nice, fast package all around seeing as Merc has no performance V6 option anywhere to be seen unfortunately.
