Thread: Fastest SOB hull???

You are correct in that most all pad bottom vee hulls - driven at the limit - are right on the edge. From personal experience though, I'll say that the thing that's different about Progression hulls is that they run well in snot (as you've seen in my pics), ride decently and most importantly, they last. Mine's a 1992 and the very first vacuum bagged 22 they ever built. Just look at the pic and see what kind of shape it's still in.

The 2019 Hallet 210 build is coming along out West. This hull design has slammed through rough water for over 25 years with I/O power. Now rigged with a Mercury 450 and pushing a full 8' beam it will be interesting to see what speed Nordic can get it to out of the box.

The Hallet doesn't seem to have a pad. It will take some fancy driving to go 100.

2019 Labsport 21 This is a new model F-2 legal 21' 4" running surface. 4th out of the mold 1st in the states. She runs very well with Ballast in the rough conditions
and airs out very quick in the smooth. With just a few Races under our belt still working on set up and props for Race conditions with Skier. I plan to get a couple taller Props to test for top speed solo runs. Very happy with all around use as play and race boat she planes out very low speed when pulling the Grandkids skiing.

The Checkmate Long Deck was discussed a number of times in this thread.
The consensus was that the Pulsare could not take the rough water that the others on "The List" could. This was due to several factors. Based on all that info, it was never able to make the cut. Pulsare fans can do a key word search within this thread on Checkmate. This will let you see the various points of view.
