Glad to see more and more people "covering up" against the sun. When I started being sensible about it around 10 years ago I got the strangest looks from most on the water. Terrorist oufit came to peoples minds. Its commonplace now.Even fashionable. 40 years in the Florida sun fishing, boating,relaxing and working makes my skin scream when the sun hits it!

Nice snook, here was my biggest caught on 8lb test down in englewood, 20 years ago and I still have almost the same sunglasses now as then.

Mine from John's Pass area.Lost the grandaddy of all at Potter Pier, Ft. Desoto using a 15 inch shad for bait. Fought and won, had her lying on her side, walking from end of pier to beach( a long damn way!) Shook the hook half way in. All of Tampa Bay probably could hear me screaming obscenities that evening. Two of my good buddies were there. They know its no fish story! Bring bridge gaff if fishing piers or bridges!

I use to fish by boat at night around the Sea Screamer boat at the pass, I caught a lot of snook there just never got the big ones. And the lighted docks inside.

My favorite one when my son was younger with his fake cigar. He has caught some nice bass I have not got him on a big snook or red yet.

You were in the right spot. Grew up fishing the pass.Fishing changed a bunch since the bridge was rebuilt. Other side of pass was good before all the sand moved in. Worked on the docks at boat and waverunner place on mad bch side. Had permission to fish at night after closing.GOOD TIMES!

Yes sir best memories of my life this was who got me started fishing and the green boat I still fish out of was his, he was 93 in this picture and passed at 95 I was so glad I took time out of my hectic schedule to take him fishing this day.

I'm sure to make time for the grandbaby. These memories will be imprinted for life! She's like my little boyscout. We build fires, go fishing, catch snakes, ride gokarts, hike, and even stay up late watching Looney toons together. Waiting to take her for her (and my) first ride in the bassboat. I tell her it's the rocket ship. She's already been in the others!
