Will Sportmaster LU from 2004 3 liter 250 Efi Mercury fit a 2003 300x?
The 300x serial number is OT653257. I want to purchase sportmaster lower unit but need to confirm they will fit. Also, is there anyway to confirm, from the serial number, the length of the shaft?

aside from figuring out the shaft length, yes it will fit. The splines are the same on the 3.0 motors.
FYI- that sportmaster probably did not originally come off a 250 EFI.. Most likely came off a 300X.

Check the stud length. Sportmasters have a thicker flang. May not be able to get the nylock on the nut to hit the threads. Easy to buy SM studs.
