Man that all looks so good. I do have a question tho. From the beginning of this project it has been very clear that you are really good with building stuff out of wood. Thats a gift that i do not have. That being said i was wondering why you went with those seats. Seems that with your talent you could have built something from wood to look much better. Probly just as light too. Anyway it looks great.

That shifter is pretty cool. Where did you find it?

Ron, I asked about it over at the other site and this is what he said
The shifter is a cast piece and it has K & S cast into it. I got it out of an old Sport E tunnel boat I had years ago.-Kevin

Here ya go Kevin and Ron. The boat it came off was a 1990 Sport E tunnel race boat, so may be vintage. I have the cast aluminum mechanical trim gauge and an ignition/choke/power panel from the same boat to use.

I got the seat shells from Noah at Eagle One. I like the way they fit between the stringers. But what I was mostly sold on was the great lateral support they offer. I've seen enough in-boat videos on youtube, showing what happens when a chine digs in harder than expected, to know that I want to stay in my seat. The layup was rigid and will look good when upholstered.

Got my new Autometer gages last week. Plan to drill them into the dash this week. Been working on glassing in the gas tank decks and the foot throttle pad and left foot support.

Got the new gages drilled in the dash. Not sure where the gps recall switch will go but i'm thinking about mounting the merc kill switch somewhere on the seat base. When running a tandom seat setup, does anyone have a kill switch on the passenger too??
