Finally beginning to see an almost finished project. Test fitting the bulk of the hardware, getting the boxes of accumulated Mercury parts assembled and also getting the engine a little run time on the hose. Now just have to finish the deck work and install the gages and it should be ready to float!

Updating the thread. Painted the hull with automotive paint. First time I've painted anything this large. The night before I shot it, I practiced getting in and out of the hull with the gun and hose. Worked great having a 10' stepladder that I could get in and out with, and string my airline thru to keep the hose well above the hull. Came out better than I thought overall.

Got things cleaned up after paint and getting ready to get the rigging started. Pretty sure it's not going to feel like work anymore! I feel I'm finally over the hump.

I like the color choice. Did you take it to the lake when it was rigged?

The hull hasn't seen water in many years. I didn't have the hull completely rigged yet. I pretty much just "mocked up" the first time only for hardware mounts, fitment and an engine start up. Wanted to get as much of that checked before paint. Glad you like the color choice. I have another boat that has those same colors. It looks great on the water and is very photogenic!

Oh snap! At first I didn`t see it but I do now. The Viper matches the lil hydro in your avatar. Cool!

Sorry for the inactivity on this thread. I had the Viper out last year and things went decent. Trailered great, launched on plane and took off like a rocket. After I stopped to snug up my life jacket, the motor developed a “bog”. Brought it home and went back through the carbs. Found debris and now back on track. I’ll be better about posting updates.

Any tips on getting videos from my iPhone to the thread? I must be technically challenged as I haven’t figured it out.
