    Hole plugging seat mounts

Whats the proper way of plugging the holes in the floor (fiberglass) that holes down the seats so I can put in new screws ????? Can't go up in screw size, they were already max'd out in size.

    Thx

Not sure what kind of access you have to underneath the floor if any??

When I put my new floor in, best thing I found to do was to drill the hole out large, then fill with a fiberglass reinforced putty. Then drill a small hole to mount your bolt into. But, thats if you have access to below for a nut. Not sure how well a screw would hold into the glass.

Hopefully that helps, or gives you some ideas?

No access at all, blind hole in the bottom of the hull. I drilled out the holes from 1/4" to 1/2" last night to get to some clean material for bonding and mixed up some epoxy and very fine chopped fiberglass pieces that I cut up, mixed it altogether and stuffed the holes full level with the surface. Went out this morning and looked at the holes and I think I'm ready to redrill for new hardware. It's a tunnel hull and the floor is the bottom of the boat so options are limited. I'm installing studs in the floor this time, that way the wear factor is no longer in the fiberglass.

Thanks anyway but I figured I'd go out on a limb and try something on my own.
