My old 22 and my old 21 both had their tank behind the rear seat.

My old Liberator 21 also was behind the rear seat.

Yeah my Talon has the 45 gallon behind the rear seat center, plus I added 2 x 8 gallon cells mid ship with transfer pumps to the main...One fuel gauge from the main still thats pretty accurate, so when it gets low I toggle the pumps "on" and watch the gauge rise...

Now I have a better range, but mainly it will allow me to drive like a maniac till the main is gone and still know I can get home...fast

larry your going to have to run up to the front of the boat to bring it down ,with the power your speaking it might flip over on launch , with 4 persons in that boat and twin 260's it would outrun a 260 powered rapid craft or stv as it was when brad had it ,up your life insurance !!!!

Bobby, I heard that boat was legendary. When he and Gean were just here we relived some of those stories about it. Seems I remember one in particular about going for a swim @ 126/128.
Evidence of LT's go big or stay home outlook on life

I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Yep, The swim ended the boats carrer at LT`s house and thats when i bought it. He made me a hellova deel that i just could not pass up. I loved that boat but it ultimatly fell victom to divorce. I have no idea where it is now. LT has a vid from in the boat he should post. The camara is aimed at the tach and speedo and it`s amazing how fast it got to 120mph.

LOL...Yeah Jason, I got the insurance covered. It will be interesting. I think how the tanks are put so far forward on the Twister may be a huge advantage.

Da Bull hit on exactly what I was thinking with the use of trim tabs/afterplanes. Good use of these plus hydrofoils/drag plates on the cavitation plates may be the key to not lose so much ground in the first 100' against a single.

Would love to see some pictures of the boat you guys are talking about.....

Ok everyone who might be interested my "Extreme Over Kill" 22 Talon, I broke a milestone and ran 116 mph with my 30 ET's at 8500 rpm...

I waited a long time for this, and with the little more HP that I gave it, and some adjustments I got the slip down and its hookin up.

Yes its coming in faster now that the temps have fallen and the H2O is colder ext...last time I ran top end was summer 115+ degrees and we went 110...with 3 people in it and 30 gallons, cooler, anchor ext...

This run was just me solo, empty boat, and under 20 gallons, not to mention the acceleration was more than I have felt since owning it...just hooked up and went fast!

Also made a lot of noise

My next run will be with my 32's on it...

One thing for sure my friend Steve told me its possible, he has gone in the high 120's with his all Red Nice Pair...

Thats moving! Boy, 8500 RPMs is absolutely screaming. Nothing sounds better than a set of twins pushed to the limits....let us all know what happens with the 32's! Its winter time up here for us....

I remember in that late 90s, ft Gibson lake in Oklahoma at Lucas drags a 23 sanger alley had triple v6 mercs, and a year before had twin sebold that was fast but half track something happened and boat took sharp left turn and came apart.
