Fest track is a good all around system, but I run the pre fast track on the comp venom cause it can handle 36V trim. Fast track would burn up in a hurry @ 36V. Your doin good things dzalj1.....keep it up. How fast have you had that rig up too? What kind of props u runnin?

cheers and speed wise, the best i have had is at 88.2mph @5800rpm and 27p trophy plus. but! that was when it was standard on its 20inch leg and as high as i can go... now with this new mod and lwpu, i have been out around 2 hand full of times so far but have never tried to play with speed yet. im still keeping an eye on engine height, temperature and backing off/on the throttle making sure she doesnt break apart on a top end run.. also im now spinning a 30p mazco re4 which is my favorite i tried a 28p offshore cleaver and hated it. so the boys here reckon i should try like a hoss Triton or hydro motive t4x? and now cause im surface piercing my mazco, but me having a manual jackplate limits me also to w.o.t runs. the only thing that has let go is my 350hp rated hydraulic steering..... pos! and my mate here with the identical hull to mine, and a 2010 250ho etec has been through 3 emm's due to running dual batteries in his boat as he runs mercury verados power/hydraulic steering...

Very good numbers. The low water pickup should be the game changer. I would not recommend multiple batteries to the EMM. bad things are bound to happen. I know a lot of mercury guys run a separate battery just for the EMM.
I really like the Triton by Hoss. Ran good on my old Yellow Venom. Here is a vid runnin a 32 triton at 104mph on the second pass. Ive ran 109 in this boat and its slow compared to the comp.

yeah low water pickup cooling is much better then the standard an i wish i could see those triple digit numbers. but they say no matter what brand outboard or hp the best your gonna get outa my hull (what they say) is maybe 100mph. Im trying to track down a 28-30p hoss triton propeller. my mate had one on his 1850 hand laid bullet with a 280, but the hull was way too light for that propeller lol.

I wouldn't remove the air box, tests have proven pretty much nothing but noise. and for shortening mids.... shorten it first then start trimming off your tuner so it just fits inside as close to the bottom than anything. And yea i have heard they lean out very quickly especially the 3.4s.

This is a 15in v8 mid with a billet adapter I just got done modifying the adapter for the 3.4 sounds different
heres the adapter
closed up for the 3.4
Surfaced ready to go on, every one said the water pump would melt as would the aluminum deflector I put on under the exhaust but I can see the water pump through the snout and it looks brand new. I didnt dry stack it for this reason instead I drilled and pointed the water dumps in the mid toward the water pump to keep it cool. Put 15 not so easy hours on it so far zero issues.
I was told that opening the exhaust actually made one of those "northern" 3.4s too rich. But I think that was on an unlimited box. My plugs always look perfect

On top there fine.....its down low where theres a difference. Not a big deal for pleasure boaters though. Its not dangerous enough to need a fix.....the video I posted of me in the yellow venom has the shorty mid with exhaust relief, stock everything else except for reeds and low water pickup.....no issues.

HI,
Can the lean out condition be rectified with changes to the programming of the ecm ?
