Paint some big old FJJ numbers down the sides and it's 1968 again.

Uh oh. Sorry Mike. Did you have a spare powerhead ready to go? Is the old one salvageable? I sold a 135 to an old time Merc guy last year, I think he still has it.

Darrell, I had to do some horse trading to get it, cost me a bunch of stuff that was laying around. Also picked up a lower with a Bobs cone and LWP on it, but it is long shaft for now. Old powerhead very savable, just scuffed up 2 pistons, didn't run it long enough to do any real damage so I got real lucky. It will be back burnered and become a winter project

Darrel, here is a picture of the side and you can see how the hydraulic steering looks hooked up, also my old school trim indicator made from an old shift cable attached to the ram.

Cool! Tell me how that trim indicator works! What's on the other end of the cable?

the cables just have the motor ends on them, I screwed then to the inside of the deck in front of my control boxes and just have a piece of tape marking the high and low points. I just line up the ends to be sure the motors are at the same angle is all. It saves me from have to turn around and look all the time.

That is brilliant. Simple and effective. Did you make that clamp that attaches the cable to the ram?

nope, just a hose clamp and a screw in the bottom bolt that holds the cover cap. Like I said "Old School"
