Talon T-21 re-power suggestions
Looking to re-power my talon t-21 and have the option of a few motors... 300x, 280 or 250xs. Im also planning to take off the current 4 inch jackplate and use a hydro-dynamics 12 inch setback. Any input on which motor should yeild the best results and tips on rigging would be greatly appreciated.

The more the better. It's a heavy boat and needs all the power it can get.

well that narrows it down to either the 300x or the diamond marine 280

The 3.0 for the torque, and the Diamond 280 if you prop down and let 'er spin enough.

You are going with 12" already. Try that and go back from there, as needed. Chuck

Ok ive decided to go with the diamond 280ros. Thinking on using a 15 inch mid with the 12 setback. Any opinions on how well this combo should work on my T-21? And any input as to what prop i should start out with?
