    21 Superboat prop?

Recently bought a 1995 21' SB with a 2008 225 Pro XS, and need some suggestions on a prop. It came with a 4 blade 23p Trophy hitting 59-60 on gps at 5700-5800 WOT in smooth water. It has a jackplate too, running about 2" below the pad, 1/4 tank of gas and 2 people.

I feel this boat should have a little more top end than what I'm seeing right now! Thanks in advance for the help!

I'd try lifting it on the jack plate. 2" below the pad seems a little low. i have heard trophy's work well.. once you lift your motor get your speed up... if your on the limiter i'd go with a bigger prop....

Unless the boat is heavy you should be in the 70's with that engine. You didnt say anything about setback. Hopefully your motors ok cause that is slow for that.

also when i first got my boat i didn't trim it out enough.. I was doing about 72 MPH when i started getting used to the way its flys and went up on the lift i was up around 80 very quickly. you'll get it going faster.

I'll try raising her up in slow increments and see if I pick up any speed. It's setback 6" with a Bob's hyd jackplate.

Frow what I've read, it sounds like the Fury is pretty good, or possibly a chopper. I'm just trying to narrow it down before I start trying a bunch of props.

Thanks for the info so far.

For your particular set up and motor I would suggest a 14.5X25"-26" HOSS HPD for best all around use and top end. If you can find one..

Next is Yamaha M25 or Turbo Lightning 24-25.

But testing is the only way to find out what works best for every boat.
