So because it worked on an XB02 it won't work on an Action? Is that what you mean? Physics is physics.

I didn't say anything about raising or lowering the engine.
All I was saying is some flotation can help any hull that sits low in the water. I thought it was clear what I was saying.
Maybe I'll type with a larger font next time.
    Sorry, no jackplate/ball pics.

    No problem kev.
Plate mounted in 20" location, all the way down for a 16" motor w/a skid plate mounted to the bottom of it w/rails on the outside edges. You are correct. It did not work as demonstrated at RR. Thought it would help launch the boat but what it actually did was drag it's corners (w/the rails)and amplify any chine walk or attempts to correct it.
New owner raised the plate (20" motor) and removed the skid plate like I told him to and it now drives perfect. Probably would have been fine as is at that height anyhow as that's how it came when I bought it.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

I have been through that bs, swapping from a 16in to a 20 almost never works out for me without some kind of major surgery.

A very long Winter project. It is not moving fast at all. Boat is flipped over . Alot of work done on the bottom. Boat finally in primer ready for paint. Primer was done in white , will be fun painting but wont show all the scuff marks from when wife drives the boat, lol.

crowd both seats to the left for a vast improvement in handling. OR put weight uder the passenger seat to balance the boat. Seriously the closerbyou get to center steer the better that boat willrun.

Thanks for the info, I plan on having them just about touching, close to center as possible.
