I mean If you us Seastar pro Your going to snap it off , with where the motor is now . Go as high as you can go about 2 inch from the top and bolt it down ... I dont know Much but The 2 small Action's I had Like 4 to 6 inch of set back ,, BUT ASK MR ACTION , you have a race deck And I THINK that lip that sticks up ? Mean theres no setback, NO jack plate ? But I DONT KNOW .. or maybe race mean just the hump in the stern.

Nice talking to you Craig and let me know if I can help. Looks to me in the pix's that if you raise the plate you should be fine on engine height. Remember what I told you on the phone about how I set mine up.
I'd rather be competitive w/junk I built in my garage than win w/stuff I bought.

I refuse to allow common sense to interfere w/my boat buying decisions.

Can't take credit! Barney built them that way. Look back at the pics in post#10 and you'll see the original support blocks for it under the bow. Yours might have been removed somewhere along the way. Anyway, it's great to push against to keep you in the seat when it gets rough. I wouldn't want to go without it. I'll probably round off the top corners.

One thing I did when I had an Ally XB02 was put an inflatable ball, like they sell at WallyWorld, inside the jackplate. That will raise the stern up at rest and helps keep the stern up coming off of plane. Just don't let gas get on the ball; it will eat the ball up.
