Really cool video of 15 Allison running
I was watching the really cool video posted of the Delta salvage at 6 Mile Island and saw this video in the list beside it. Yes, he is running it too high and it looks like a 20" motor in spite of the red stickers, but it is cool to watch for anybody that has never seen the mid size Allisons run. Racing was great when about a dozen of these were on the course at the same time in the early to mid 70s.

Fun to watch. Perfect conditons for a nice run....
You cannot bring about prosperity by discouraging thrift. You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong. You cannot help the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer. You cannot further the brotherhood of man by encouraging class hatred. You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich. You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than you earn.

I used to race against these Allisons with my Hydrostream in the mid 70's when we were in Texas. They turned much better than my Stream. Sure was a lot of fun.

Six Mile Lake is about 15 mins. from my place. There is a lake every 50' up here and they all look like that. Not to mention Georgian Bay(part of Lake Huron/Great Lakes) is 5 mins. away.No lack of places to boat.
If I knew it was going to last this long I would have taken better care of it.

Mack (The guy driving the allison) is a great friend of mine. I was so glad to have the honour of filming his Allison ripping up Six Mile.
He got the boat in 2007 off S&F and it was definitely a fixer uper. He was only 12 or 13 at the time:
He spent 3 years working on it to get it to his standards which are incredibly high. It was launched in spring 2010 I believe. All that hard work paid off to make this beauty:
Ever since the launch he has worked with different props and set ups to get it to where it is. It runs about 70 now.
Great work Mack!

Cool boat. How fast do you think it was going or is capable of with that old T.O.P on it? What horsepower is that motor?
