    1988 mercury 200 hp

Whats up guys I have a 1988 mercury 200 that i whant to know what is the normal runing temperature . The reason i ask is cause at idle it sits around 130 degrees but when get on plain it shoots up to around 170 i back off on it and it drops to around 150. It never stops pomping when you look at the peehole. Just wana have a clear idea of whats going on. BTW has new pump i took the thermostat off to see if they were the reason but still doing the same. Thats why i want to know what is the normal temp before i start chaging parts or do something stupid. Thanks in advance for any help or advice you guys can give me.

those numbers don't sound to bad but you need the thermo's in, or some type of restrictions in the housings to keep the block filled with water.

I think one buzzer sender goes off at 180 degrees?...and the other sender length goes off at over 200 degrees?.....Not sure which motors used which senders.
