    drystacking my 250ho

what is involved to make my etec sandwich plate work on my 12inch omc mid? i removed my powerhead over the weekend on my 20inch and been thinking about putting my ho powerhead on top and l2gearbox on bottom. can i remove all the can or baffel with out affecting the running of the e-tec or what can be cut to the shortest to work? its set up on a australian 21foot light weight ski boat.. it is also a standard omc midsection cut down to 12inch with offshore exhaust and single ram

so in saying that... leave the tuner as long as possible and the inner baffle or dont bother doing the mod as powerhead failer will occur. would it be a more leaning out issue?
