    70hp johnson carbs/cracked emulsion tubes

Im just about to get this motor on the water (bought it, it ran fine on the stand..) got it home, did a full paintjob and service on the motor. Got the carbs apart, and found that all 3 carbs had cracked emulsion tubes. One is tiny and the other 2 are noticeable, but not cracked in half or anything like that. Just one small crack going down to the first and second hole in the emulsion tube.

What can i do about this? Ive heard the tubes are fixed so do i need new carb or can i solder the crack shut?

Pics?...... never seen a cooper emulsion tube cracked. I'd say solder it, just don't clog up the tube.

I've seen quite a few of the 3 cyl and V-4 crossflow carbs with this problem. Most of the V-4's are 25 years old or better but the age doesn't seem to matter on the 3 cyl carbs. Haven't ever tried to fix em but I'm sure it could be done by the right person.
