Liberator Steel Trailer Mod to Eliminate Bouncing
For those of you who have a Liberator steel trailer, I'm sure your aware of the bouncing the front of the boat goes through when trailering and crossing bumps, holes, speed bumps etc, etc...... This is my fix for a much more secure ride, a bow stop that supports the front end of the boat. Works like a charm and also eliminates that California Trailer Bar thats a pain to hook up at times. Boat now loads easy as any Vee Hull does............

I had something similar on my Rapidcraft trailer and I cut it off. All is did was mess up my anodized rub rail and depending on the angle of the boat ramp when you cranked the boat tight up against the boards when you pulled the boat out of the water and the back end settled onto the bunks the bow would end up away from the boards then I would have to back it back in to try and winch the boat tight again. Hopefully it works out better for you then it did for me.

Ralph,
I made this up by tack welding it all together first, then went to the ramp and did some test fits and noted a few changes that had to be made for a good fit and alignment on the ramp while winching up the boat. The way the stop blocks are made, theres no contact to the rub rail at all. Works great.

Just came back from a long haul to the lake and back........WOW, what a difference in towing now. Before every bump would try to lift the hitch in the receiver due to the clearances there and you'd hear that loud and clear in the truck, without the bouncing now, it's quiet and super stable. This is by far one of the best things I've done to make towing easier and safer in my opinion........
