clogged map tube
what is the best way to check to see if map senor or tube is clogged? Do you disconect from pcu and blow air back into the horn. also I've read where peaple are spraying some kind of map senor cleaner in tube ? is this recomended.. 1993 efi mariner 260. Is it wise to use stablil ethenol treatment or seafoam to keep injectors cleaned they are Brucato right now, do we need to have this done every year? thanks

Seafoam or Mercury Quick Clean in your fuel will help keep your injectors clean and also reduce carbon build-up in your motor. You can check your MAP sensor hose by disconnecting at each end and blow it out. Do the same with the vacuum fitting on your airhorn. Do not blow into the MAP sensor hose while it's connected to the MAP sensor. There is a diaphram in there that could be ruptured by too much pressure.
Keep tabs on your performance fuel consumption, and idle quality as clues to the health of your injectors. EGT and plug readings will also give you clues about the condition of your injectors. If any of these things look suspect, it would be wise to check your injectors at that time.
