Beautiful boat! Welcome to Scream & Fly and the world of really fun boats!
Problem here is no place to run fast. You can go out to the drainage ditch along the Sawgrass--it is very wide--if yo just want to do speed runs. Access from the West ramps at Markham Park. Once in a while guys get together at Everglades Holiday Park--miles and miles of sraight, flat canals to run it, no much scenery.
I sometimes launch at Haulover and run south down the Meloy Channel--up against Miami Beach. On a busy weekend, you can still get beat up by other boats wake. Speed limit is, technically, I think 30 or 35, but then who knows. There are a couple of idle zones, more in the winter.
I love the keys, my fear is that I need to go down with others who know where it is safe to run. Too much shallow water, and some of it has rocks, not sand. I wanted to do the last Keys run, but instead found myself in the Keys driving a van supporting a running relay team my wife was on that ran the 100 miles from Key Largo to Key West.Per Rock:

Thanks guy!!!
I plan on making a trip down to the keys very soon i would have liked to go on the action run but i didnot have the boat and i was working.
Yesterday morning the ocean was flat calm and i ran out of port everglades to haulover it was a great run, there wasnt very much boat traffic so i was happy
I will probably run the boat at Markham park this weekend coming.

My wife got me into marathons--she runs, I walk. When I am out walking on A1A in Fort Lauderdale at sunrise on those days when the ocean is a millpond, I wish I was in the boat instead.

Where are you at in Dania? My lawnmower shop is on Griffin road and I live a little further south in Hollywood. My boat is currently out of commission but i try to make it to the Keys as much as possible.
