    your joking right?

ya'll don't have academy's up there in yankee land. it's a sports and outdoors store. kinda like a home depot for hunting, fishing and any other sport you can think of.

I've got a catalog at work that sells fiberglass shells for about $25 each. Your local shop can make snap in liners. If your interested I'll post it tomorrow. I think it's "Speedway" or something like that.

This is the fiberglass seat shell sold by Speedway Motors. They also have aluminum frames and a lot of different styles - mostly for race cars- a lot of stuff with head braces etc. Pretty cool. But I bought one of these and had a local shop sew up some upolstery. I didn't buy thier cover because it only came in black, and even though I live in Michigan, we do get the occasional sunny day! I really liked it because it's small and narrow enough to fit between the tunnels of my boat. A suggestion would be to buy the upostery and give it to the shop to use as a pattern. I paid more because they had to start from scratch.

    Good luck

Man, I hear ya! You could just paint the shell and upolster them later except the seat surface is not finished in gell, just the outside, so it's not smooth. They are small though, and would look like the right size in a 16' boat. In case the phone numbers been changed, they are in Lincoln Nebraska.

    Good luck.

Speedway is online at http://www.speedwaymotors.com and they have a lot of stuff. Good folks - I used one of their sprint car seats in the Allison 16.
