Reliving a dream. 18' Action Marine resto

Barney built me a new 18' Action in '83. Sold the boat when I moved from Key West, and have wanted another one ever since. Found one in Sunrise that the hull had been gone over, but it was RED, and had some floor rot from the poured foam underneath. I HATE RED, so it has to go. Yanked the floor up to find solid stringers and transom. Barney really built them well. Got pics of the floor redo, and the start of a teal, oldschool glitterflake job that is in the process this week. Updates will follow as the work progresses. Hope you enjoy!Click image for larger version.

Finally making progress on this boat. The guy that did the first paint job didn't mix the paint properly and it never kicked off on the bottom. Had to strip off his work and start over. Decided to have a go at it myself this time!

Thanks 1Bad, I got some flake started in a midcoat and will be adding more in the clearcoats. Thanks for the help you gave before...seems to be working out pretty well. Need to get it in the sun after it's completed to appreciate it. Almost there!

Looks like it's going well. Patience is a virtue that you learn with flake.

Thanks Beef, 1Bad, and Shaun. This job is almost done, but my ass is kicked from it! Need to get done and rigged so I can get down to Sam's to get the 'Rude set up and running. Finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel.
