I took a nut-backed tire valve stem, removed the valve part, drilled out the ID a bit bigger, and ground off the threads on the last inch of the tip. I installed it into the side of the fuel filler neck for my return line. Works great.
I'm NOT a big fan of the idea of using the spare IN port, as it closes the fuel loop and will re-circulate air bubbles if your fuel runs low and sucks up any air... This can cause a dangerous lean condition. The Vegas tank is wide, so it's possible to draw air occasionally in a turn.
My setup has been the same way since 2006.
Also, make sure your vent line makes a tall roller-coaster loop between tank and fitting to keep water from getting in.Last edited by pyro; 07-09-2012 at 08:28 PM.

Just doing a little research and came across this old thread via a google search. Moeller now makes a fuel level sender with a return fuel fitting in it.
