A positive for Mullins
I'm following up on a promise I made on the deleted mirage thread. I ordered windshields for my ski racer a while back and was waiting for them. After I posted that I had not recieved them yet Mike next day aired them to my house. So I wanted to say thanks Mike for making things right. This thread was not started for a pissing contest. If you don't have anything positive to say then keep the comments to yourself.

Then Why Bother
Don't act like it was a good deal. You got screwed so bad of course you're happy. But don't come here on a public forum and act like it wasn't a bunch of BS. Why the hell do you think you got your stuff? You and Mod should get along well. I'm not in pre school anymore so I reserve my right to say negative things. Maybe you should delete this post and say nothing at all.

Hey guys, this is my first post on S&F, (although I do lurk once in a while). I post mostly on brand-X, but don't get into the back and forth bull-**** between the two sites. However the topics on Mirage and the history there of, got my attenion.
Gemini, great to get the history lesson. I took delivery of my boat in late 97 with 3 other guys here on the west coast. Brad was (and I'm sure still is) one of the finest people I've delt with in any buisness let alone the boating buisness. Honest, prompt, helpful etc.... I hung a S-3000 on it with a 175hp nos kit. 5yrs of lots of fun not to mention many broken big block hearts!
A year after he sold I needed a custom cover and he sent me to a "boat manufacture". the owner told me he had one in stock as well as a motor cover. I was told that due to the many flakes in the boating world, would I mind mailing a check before he (the owner) would ship. Once the check was recieved the product would go right out, 2 weeks max. So not to buck the system, off went my payment in full! 5 months later, after scores of calls, many broken promises, lots of bs and many pleas from me to him my cover showed. The motor cover took another 45 days. I was required to fax a copy of the cancelled check (good that I noted on the check it was for both items). I thought long and hard for a way to demonstraight to the owner the frustration he put me through. With time I got over it but will never buy anything from him or recommend him. To bad, this owner has a great product.
As for "if you can't say anything nice.....". Guys, boating for most of us is a sport or past time, but for manufactures and builders it's a buisness and should be treated that way. In my buisness I am held to my word. I quote a job and produce that job. If I do it right I get paid, my shop grows and I prosper. If I screw up I APOLOGIZE and fix it. If I don't the word goes out and eventuality my buisness fails. Thats the way it is and thats the way it should be. We the public need to hold the boating Inds. to the same standards we do other Inds.Nos, if you're not cheating...... you're not trying!

I agree with you guys. But if you read my post on the deleted mirage thread you would realize why I posted this. The post chalanged Mike to make things right for me by sending me the windshields. He may have had my money for a while and said he would ship them when I called him and didn't, but that's not the point here. The point is I said I would post a positive thread for him if he would send me the windshields. The next day after I posted that he next day aired me the windshields. In my book he made things right with me. I'm happy SO THATS ALL THAT MATTERS HERE! If you don't like the way he does business don't buy a mirage, if you don't like porn don't watch it, if you don't like spinach don't eat it, if you don't like a ford don't buy one, if you don't like guns don't buy one, if you don't like rock and roll don't listen to it, if you don't like something then don't do it, that's what's so great about freedom we don't have to do what we don't want to do. But in every case theres someone who does like what you may not like so if you don't like it then leave it alone so the other guy can enjoy his freedom to choose.

If You Don't Like Something
Jag I fully agree but until people hear situations like you described no one would know any different. We would all just assume we would get the products we ordered and sometimes payed for in advance. I am fortunate enough to be employed in a manner where by I can call be check up on people. I couldn't imagine busting my ass all day to come home to find yet another empty porch after being told numerous times "it's on the way". You do this for me and I'll do what for you. I would have told him to stick it and made my own.

Hmmmm
If someone does not like what you do not like does that mean you like the same things? Remember choice requires more then one point of view or option. Saying nothing at all when you don't have anything nice to say means there is no other option but to say something nice. Get it? So where does choice come in?
