What is the best prop to run in 1000ft if only top speed matters, not ET?

He is in question for a 1000ft radar run, meaning not ET,at Kosh i always ran a 24 Yamaha at 114mph year after year,Allison drag with a drag, never tryed to see what a 26 would of done, there was never a need.Chris you have spent years there tryin different stuff, what are your thoughts? Maybe a 26 at most....

I ran a 26 this year, 2/10ths of a MPH slower that what you ran. Massman may be right with a ET?

I did not mean an et prop, meant elapsed time didn't matter just top speed. A Yamaha drag 24 always worked best for me, I have a new 24 and a 26 Yamaha drag for this year. I think the 26 will be the ticket with the new boat. Have to weight and see!!!!!!

Is low one teens the usual winner or does anybody ever go faster? I bet Rich Srnec could run a big number with a 26
