Can someone post a picture of car wheels on a trailer?

I read mustang wheels fit, ford ranger, some old molar stuff. Just curious how it looks. Thanks

Depends which mustang wheels, and what trailer, some mustangs had 4 lug which will only fit on a really small trailer.

I have a set of 17 inch torque thrust looking mustang wheels and tires been in the garage for a couple of months, car has track wheels on it. They are 5 lug. just do not want to waste time trying.

Compare the bolt patterns, the mustang wheels they are referring to are 1960's and 70's ford bolt pattern, I am not sure if it is the same as the new one(new one may be metric), which is what it sounds like what you are talking about with the torq thrusts(I have the same ones on my GT)

a common bolt patern for a trailer and a 5 lug vehicle is 5 on 5". most likely if your wheel is 5 lug, you got a pretty good shot at fitting.

What year Mustang are they from?

Watch the backspacing-offsets. The newer mustang 5 bolt stuff (5x114.7 or 4.5") has to high a positive offset (I believe 30+ mm) for standard trailer use. The inside edge of the tire/wheel might rub on the frame. You can get them to fit with some 1.25" spacers.

FWIW, older Jeeps have the right bolt pattern (5x4.5") and offset for trailers.

Those have a high positive offset. You will need spacers to make them work.

Pretty much all of the recent Fords went High positive offset by 2003. The exception was Rangers and the Sport Trac had the medium offset and should bolt right on.

2002 and older Towncar, Crown Vic, and Marquis used a wheel that will fit trailers too.

Anyone have any issues? It is a tandem trailer with a 20 foot stoker on it. Spacers and car tires, not sure how that wil hold up over time.

Car tires are not usually a good idea on a trailer as they have a weaker sidewall not designed for a loaded trailer. Now, I know our boats are lighter so you'll likely be fine. Just be careful with the tandem doing tight turns...the wheels being so close together are REALLY tough on the sidewalls and can pull a car tire off the rim.

I work with a manufacturer of high end commercial (mainly) and recreational trailers. According to him, he uses passenger vehicle tires (truck, light truck) as they are built better than trailer tires. Trailer tires have the warning "Not for passenger use" molded into the sidewall. Keep your pressures up and you will have no problem pulling a tire off the rim. But the load is light enough you should have no problem. Note the load and pressure limits molded into the tire, and you will be fine.

    Mustang wheels

16 x 7 Mustang Pony wheels on a Boatmate tandem trailer
    Tire size: 225/55-16
bolt pattern: 5 holes on 4-1/2" bolt circle,Same as every 5 lug boat trailer I've ever owned.
    No adapters or spacers needed
5000 plus miles with no issues
only had to adjust fenders outward abot an inch. Very simple

Ford (Australian ) stud pattern , Custom Euro / Merc' style 16 x 8 wheels with 225 x 60 profile tyres. we tow this rig long distances with total relibilty and no tyre noise often. used to have light duty truck tyres but they are noisy and not necessary for a mid weight rig like mine...Click image for larger version.
