    Question What Black Mildew Killer Works Best?

    Besides chlorine, or chrlorine "based" products...What has everyone found works best to kill all the black mildew? Thanks

    We always used tilex mold and mildew but don't know if its got chlorine in it.

    are you talking about the hull i hope? i used to use stuff called navel jelly which worked good,dont know if they still make it,x-14 is great but dont know if it does long term damage

    For dry rot which is fungal based we use Oxalic acid but I believe you can also use Glycol.

    Do yourself a favor and try Publix brand MildewRemover, best I have ever seen. Works on fiberglass and seats doesn't appear to rot stiching if rinsed. Works like magic!!!!!!!

    I have also heard glycol( antifreeze)is great for killing mold/mildew and the spores that cause wood rot. I have never tried it but do a search and there are a few articals written on it. It could be B.S. But for interior Mr clean magic erasers are great,
