Does anyone know someone that knows someone,...

Have a 07 F350. Has 25,000 miles and a typical ford problems normaly covered under warranty. Problem is the truck sat for 5 years and the warranty has ended.
I've gotten prices to fix and,.... and have decided to yank it out and build it right myself. Looking for 800 HP and 1000 Lbs tork at rear wheels but still be able to drive.
I know thats alot to exspect from a streetable truck. (Like to get close)
Who can tell me what I need to do? :dunno:

The torque is very obtainable , but that hp number your looking for is going to be difficult . All I can tell you from my experience is doing 190s injectors and a 64mm running and supporting mods ( air dog, tbe, intake,studs/gaskets/egr delete) will be over 500hp and close to 900 tq to the wheels. When I had my f250 hd I learned a lot on Powerstroke.org.. Good luck man !!!

First thing is a set of ARP head studs, then EGR delete. Your options are endless. Bulletproof diesel is your best bet for the 6.0 power stroke.

I had a '06 with a silverline exhaust, 4" from the turbo back, no muffler, Banks intake, and a superchips programer and the truck would smoke all 4 tires in four wheel drive. That was after the delete and the head studs were done.

'79 ventura- gettin thrown together with blood, sweat, and empty beer cans.

Try xtreme diesel power also. Seems like bullet proof diesel focuses more on the 6.0. Good luck.

You could also swap out for a cummins, since you'll already have your motor out.

Step 1: Throw the powerjoke in the dumpster.
Step 2: Find a CR 5.9 cummins and build the crap out of it.
    Step 3: Install the cummins.

Step 4: Get killed by the wife for dumping 10-15K into a used truck, only to make it more un-reliable, prone to breakage, and impossible for any dealer/mechanic to work on it should you break down away from home.

12v 5.9 cummins would do you right! and way cheaper to make power... 6.0s are hard to keep together and cost more to make reliable than getting 300+ hp in a 12v lol

Your hp/ftlb ratio is WAYY OFF. 800hp would never happen on stock block or rotating assembly since it would net double that in torque and you would never get 16-1800 to the ground with a 2wd dually never mind actually be able to use it EVER. 1000ft-lbs is attainable out of a HOT 6.0 with a GOOD tune, HPOP, turbo and fuel system upgrades (read $3500 injectors + upgraded HPOP + fuel system and $5000 in a transmission that will survive) would make about 500-550 to get your realistic 1000ftlb . You would need studs, egr delete, exhaust, intake, and a prayer to get the heads to stay on the block for any amount of abuse/time.

Sell the truck, buy a 6.4 install deletes, intake, exahust and spartan tune run right at 12.8-13.3 make 1k ft-lbs on stock trans with no issues. Or buy a LBZ duramax with a tune, trans and a FASS you would reach your 1k ftlb goal and have something somewhat reliable for a bit. No head gasket issues, reliable, and you dont have to go through the trouble of puttin a real motor in it Or buy a 12v feed it air, make 800 on stock bottom end with a set of twins you could drive every day, tow and get 20mpg and then make 750 running on free vegetable oil

A close friend has a 6leaker he will be at River Ranch a year after the cab was pulled for it to get studded he had the HPOP go out it killed the engine which caused him to loose power steering and brakes which is when he ended up in a ditch nearly hitting a pole at 50. The truck had about 70k on it

You can spend $1000 in mods on the 6.0 or $5,000 on it, and still only make 400ish RWHP. $5k is more then I spent on my truck and 99% of my mods to make more power.

heres a good article from Dieselpower magazine.

here is the $ensible solution you could keep your NICE truck and have something reliable under the hood. Probably one of the most common conversions ever. Hell If I find a local blown 6.0 truck I'd love to put my motor in it and keep the awesome torqueshift 5spd auto that comes behind the 6.0.

I have been there and done that!!!!! I have found the best way to make HP is to TRADE it in on a CHEVY! No harm meant but I had to nearly Pray before I went to start mine. it pulled like a raped mule when it was running but when it went down I was the one who got raped. Sorry for the harsh words and yours is sweeeeeeet for sure but I have changed brands due to the 6.0

If anyone can tell you what you need to know this guy can. I know him he is from arkansas. He loves diesel engines and can get unreal power out of them. When someone buys a diesel around here they take it straight to chester to get it "tuned up". He should be able to tell you what you need to know.

Sell that truck for what you can and buy a Cummins or D max. It looks great in the pic, but there is a reason it sat for 5 years. It wont get any better / cheaper, there is no silver bullet that solves the 6.o ohno problems.
