can a hpdi be converted to a ox66 I know the heads will fit and injection will bolt on but will it work I think it would probubly run lean because the diference in the 3.1 and the 3.3 any info would be appreceated

Nope...You can run a 3.3 front half on the 3.1 block with no problem.

Given the power that you can make from the 3.1 with stock electronics/fuel system I don't think you would have a lean issue (especially since the OX has an oxygen sensor)...but I don't see why you'd want to change...

The 3.3 is basically a big bore version of the 3.1. The 300 has an extra reed (which I'm sure you are aware of lol).

HUMMM...would the reed block form a 300 (with the extra reed) interchange on to a 3.1 EFI then perhaps? or does it not match up?

You need the front half from the 300...there isn't enough room for the extra reed to fit in the stock hole .

Thanks for confirming that. I was wishfully thinking for a moment.

Any idea how/why the HPDI doesn't have an O2 sensor?

    To save money, I assume.

If I remember correctly, the 2.6 liter HPDI engines had O2 sensors, but when the HDPI big blocks came out a few years later, they did not.
