That was the idea Gary. No need for a hole in the bench, I just clamp the feet to a couple of steel saw horses and turn the case around!

Here is mine, super simple.

worked at a boat shop in the mid 80's..the mechanic took a piece of 2x12 wood plank..cut the v notch for the gearcase to slide in. and bolted it under his work bench with one big bolt he left the bolt loose enough it would pivot and slide under the work bench when he was not using it. cost about ten bucks and an hour or two!!

What kind of epoxy did you use and how well did it work?

Cone was welded on with 6 3/4" welds, the space was filled with West, and the filling and fairing was done with PC7.

Those have to be worth more than $17 ea. with "Mercury Racing" on them!! I happen to have made the same system except with bolts and wing nuts. Gary

Well they WERE only worth $17/each in parts, but with labor charges and once the genuine Mercury stamp went on them the price increased to $150 each. AND...since they are the HP application, no warranty is included. Luckily these have the updated top staked upper clamps, we had trouble with the side stakers.
