got a jackplate for it just haven't put it on yet, want to run without first see how it performes, has hyd steering, have to extend the hoses, been working on another project, there like kids sayin feed me feed me...my last ACTION was a 19' with a 200+ merc offshore mid, lwp ran a 28P MAZCO RE-4 90-91 mph @ 6600 all day, anyday, like a CADILLAC..ACTIONs are great all around bay boats...HOORAHH

Thank you for the pictures, I am trying to get some ideas on a 17' action. I am in the process of obtaining another project as in a 1985 17' action marine. I will get some pictures up as soon as I get them. It will be a major overhaul. I am in the process now of building a slightly modified 200 merc with a 15" offshore mid to put on it. I was wondering how much of a setback would be good for it, the boat has no splashwell. Thanks for any help.

Anybody out there running a 300x on a 17'r ???
Thinkin about goin wit a big block on a 15" mid for the new boat...
Just kinda skeered, cus god knows I gots enough 2.5 stuff to fix any thang I break on a 2.5...

I saw a 18' ACTION (RED) on miami cl with a 300X...maybe ask him , personally a 19' ACTION with a 300X would be the cat's meow, heavyer but should take the stress better in chop and still go 100+ when needed...

I would like to put a 15 300x on my 20' Action because its much larger and heavier but im going with a 2.4 200 to start with due to finaces but I dont think I wouild want one on a 17.
