    Need help identifying a boat!!

I recently purchased a 1978 speedboat. However I can't really identify its make or model. The title says it is made by FGI - Fiber Glass Industries. However as far as I know, FGI only makes fberglass materials, not boats. The VIN plates says AMT on the top, I have no clue what that means. After doing some googling, i believed it too be a Checkmate, specifcally a Inmate or a Jet Mate. However the Checkmate sales rep said it was not. There appear to be many speed/jet boats from 1978 that appear to be all identical to mine. Namely : Crusader, Bahner, Sunkist, Glastron, and Python. Is it possible FGI might have made all these boats an sold them to these different companies??? But then what is AMT?? Any information you guys could offer in order to help indentify my boat would be greatly appreciated! Attached are pictures...Click image for larger version.

It's almost identicle to a Borum, but I'm not quite sure if it is one. Borums were built in Jacksonville, Fl.

It's a Borum jet to outboard conversion, I'll bet.
