Well, that is the title. He did more than walk him.

First off get the facts straight. That is an old 32' Skater w/twins. Maybe a 100mph boat on a good day with a tail wind. You have a 25' Talon with Diamond motors that are really strong. A 28' with the same motors has run 124mph. Bring that thing out on some real water even in a 2' chop and see what happens. The Talon back in the days of old school racing used to get it butt kicked on the offshore circuit by 24's. Nice boat and definitely fast for flat water due to the power of the Diamond motors. As far as titles go I don't recall Talon winning offshore championships or holding any recorded speed records either.

Not meant in any was as a slight to Skater. Obviously, the boats were mismatched on a flat river. Actually it is a 22' Talon against a 32' Skater with roughly the same power.
Just thought it was a cool film.Last edited by Powerplay25; 12-20-2011 at 08:00 AM.

that talon's speedo looked he was going about 100, and it wasent a gps speedo, so he was probably going in the 90's, secondly that was a 32' skater not a 28, with a pair of 300's on it......

Definetly a cool vid. Yeah, it was a mismatch, but who cares!?!? As for Talons running strong there definetly are some out there. As mentioned in a previous post, my friend Rick Bowling's Talon 37 (Gone Again) definetly won it's share of races back when he campaigned it in OS racing under the sponsorship of Jelly Belly (before flipping it in Key West and re-rigging it as a poker run boat). With the Carson Brummet motors in it now it has run 173 w/ rpm to spare. The boat is now getting re-powered again with Merc 1350s. It's one Talon that will give the big Skaters a good run for their money.

Speedo looked like 120 to me. If all it could run was 90's it wouldn't have pulled away from the Skater that hard
And Allison guys get messed with for drinking the koolaid. LolErik Kiser
