    115 Optimax problem

    Hello

A friend of mine has an 2006's 115 Optimax and when he turns the ignition switch to on the buzzer starts to sound continuously and the smart craft show the engine and the bell images.
When we called the person who sells Mercury engines he put the diagnostic on the engine and it says "oil level sensor circuit high".
Does anyone know what this means?

    Thank you in advance.

sounds like you need a new oil tank.. You can start off with just the sensor at the bottom of the tank but 9 times out 10 it will be the float inside the tank.

We have already changed the sensor of the oil level but the problem remains.
I think that the float in the tank is stack on the empty position because even if the tank has enough oil the sensor shows continuity .
If it was a float problem i think that with the sensor removed from the tank the buzzer shouldn't sound.
    Is that correct ?

WE changed the oil tank with a new one but the problem remains.
    Any other suggestions?

Probably in the ECU, cut the wire to the horn, then you won't have to listen to the rev limiter horn either!
