    2003 250 hpdi running fine with exception of ZERO spark advance... stuck at 7 degree

    2003 HPDI running out of ideas, no codes, found starbord engine runs identical at idle and up until 1900 RPM.. where ignition advance begins climbing which is where port engine falls off flat.. had intermintant injector code due to water in a plug but after dried idles normal, picks up all 6 holes and works flawless except for no spark advance. stays at 7 degrees which is odd since the starboard idles at -4 and advances to 19. swapped all the sensors and ecms from motor to motor with no change, running iut of ideas... manual isnt helping much... but going to dig back through it to see if i missed anything. new BARRO Press Sensor... , new oil float switch ( leaked) new t stats, new poppets, new water pumps, idles at 105 degrees, runs at 126 degrees, so all things good there.. has to be some sensor screwing things up but all i can see that would controll advance is the ECM and the Crank possition sensor... what am i missing.... obviously something stupid and electrical....

    It would be nice to see a running download. There are many things that can be off and still not throw a code. 105deg is alittle cool for idle.

    sorry about the quadruplicate post

    computer mess up..


    more findings.. got it to finally show a code.. injectors 2 and 5 are failing and or not reciving a controll signal.. both spark plugs are toasted.. and shown as if the injectors are wide open. disassembled the rail to pull and send out injectors and found the harness on cyl 2 was smashed between rail and block. so that explains one thing. for cyl 2... cyl 5 appears to be a dead injector as i get voltage at the plug under static tests... so.. now to the current problem removing the corroded in to the head injectors so i can send them to get serviced......

    this engine was rebuilt by a buy who had no clue on what this engine was... and now i get to clean up the mess.......

    no hair left...

    Keep in mind this motor does not run on 2 and 5 in neutral.
