jet packing
I have a glastron carlson cvx-20 with a berkley jet. when I try to take of wide open with a loaded boat or trying to pull a skier it is slipping like it is sucking air.I put in new packing and the more i tighten it the more it helps . My queston is how tite does this have to be I am afraid im going to break sompthing or could it be somthing else.

They just go snug. Do not tighten them like a regular bolt. About 7 ft/lbs of torque.

Check your hand hole gasket for leaks .
