How much does a 300xs cost?

I think my original post got deleted because it might of sounded like I was selling a motor. I am not selling a motor, but rather trying to chose between (3) different boats and trying to determine the net cost of each. Since I don't see many 300xs's for sale (on ebay or here) I'd like to ask the thoughts of those on this board (as I've done on the checkmate board).
Here's my original post (minus anything that had a dollar sign next to it):

" I'm looking at a buying a Checkmate 2400BRX, but I don't need a motor. If I buy a complete boat (with motor), how much could I sell the engine for if it's a 300XS? Assuming it has next to zero hours and a full warranty (which I think is 2 years).
How about a 250XS that has 1 year left of warranty?

For those that are wondering, I'd be putting a Verado on -- I never realized how much I liked a quiet motor until I drove a Verado."

(Note: if I do buy a boat that requires the sale of the motor I will pay the fee and post it in the classifieds.)

I should clarify that I am having a hard time determining the value of a NEW 300XS. I have seen used ones listed on here for $11-14k. And I don't think that (if I bought a boat w/ motor) I'd be able to get the $19-$20k that MSRP is.
Has anyone out there bought a 300XS w/ a warranty remaining (new or used). If so, do you mind telling me about how much you paid.

What kind of lower? New ones can run from 15.5k to 18 depending on who you buy them from.

Great feedback. The gearcase looks like a normal 3-liter, but painted grey... I believe that to be the Torque Master. Do the Sport Masters resale for more or the same?

Also, if new ones are as low as 15.5k, do you think a motor priced at 14k would sell? I've seen some listed for that price (on here and elsewhere), but you never know how much they really sold for.

My goal is to get into a 2400BRX for under $30k net without the motor. So if anyone has any leads on a 2400BRX -- new or used -- for cheap I'd appreciate it. Again, my goal is to be out $30k or less after I sell the motor (unless a dealer takes it off for me). I've searched the sh** out of the internet, but not everything is well advertised. For example, here's one in Wisconsin (near me) that's not too far from my goal (and it's a 2011), but isn't on boattrader or anything else.

i have bought two 300xs motors this year,from barbra jaco, 6 other motors in the last two years. 100k+ you will not find a dealer that will give you a better price than barbra jaco, she has also bent over backwards on shiping and finding me parts, i live in mich and have many dealers around here that aint worth two dead flys! so i spend my money in tenn, you will learn good merc dealers are hard to find.....dp

I see you're from Canada, if your trying to sell it in canada and it's a canadian motor (warranty) you may be able to get more for it.

I was looking into a 300xs earlier this year when our dollar was worth 1.05 american. I called a dealership in ontario and the best they could do was between 28 and 29 thousand! Great exchange we get when they're getting them for under 16-20 in the states!...
