    The sleekcraft sst is such a hott boat....alot of fun and they all looked sharp....My Uncle had a black one with red stripe accented with silver and gold it was a hott boat from NJ...Would love to see if anyone here has it....He bought it new thru Rinders Marine back when he raced...

    I am doing a 85 sst now I have removed the rocker 6 ft from the transom dose the 8 inch step really make any difference and i have been thinking of filling in the strakes to Mach the new flat bottom what do you think

    Old thread question, didn't see it, sorry.
    The 8 inch step was arrived at after using a removable plate for testing. It reduced the needed set back.
    I didn't fill the strakes on the center sponson so can't answer the question.
    Did you get the boat to the water?
