So after all these years I made another foil. Same motor but I sold the motor and boat. Got it all back a couple years ago, sold the boat and swapped the motor to a 19 foot SeaSwirl. Needs a lift getting out of the hole with the motor and jack plate up. So we'll see how it works. Ill post pics when its on. Just painted it todayLast edited by Gorilla0178; 08-24-2018 at 08:47 PM.

so how does this plate compare to your original plate ? I think the 1st was better looking than this kite shape.
Also I think the 1st one would be less liable to break the cav plate as the load was spread out better rather than the main foil being so far behind the prop. jmo.

Not really sure as I don't have the old one anymore. Its on a totally different boat. This is a much heavier boat. It seems to do its job. I don't have any issue getting on plain now, just throttle up and its over the hump. The design was nothing special on either one. The first I just tried to go similar to a bobs foil. This one was just drawn up and made. I just wanted to make more surface area to push against. If there are any issues ill be sure to post.

Still need to fair the little wings and paint it. The last one works great. I did notice while running that the section that sticks out past the cav plate knocks the rooster tail flat. Which is good, but im not sure how much drag it might cause. I ordered a extra lightning lower so this is going on it. Im still in the process of redoing the bodywork and painting my original lower and this time I filled the water cavity so hopefully the paint will stop coming off around the drain holes.
