    300xs Water Separator??

    I have recently put a new 300xs on my boat and want to know if i should have a water separator (Racor Filter) installed?

    It probably wouldn't hurt, I've got them on my boat and they do catch some water in the clear plastic bowls that you can drain away. You can get one on E-bay.

    Are you running a 300xs? Ive used them with other motors ive owned with good results but have read somewhere that they are not recommended for the xs motors?

    Yes, twin 300XS's and the boat came from the factory (Spectre) with the Racors, you really need them in Florida. I drain the fuel bowls every 3 months and the filters once a year. If you mount one in your boat make sure it's level or that the drain is in the lowest spot.
